Truth vs. Falsehood


Reflection on Surah Al-Anbiya (21:18)

بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ

"Rather, We hurl the truth against falsehood, and it crushes its head, and behold, falsehood vanishes away." (21:18)

Truth and falsehood can never be equal. Falsehood may appear strong for a time, gathering followers, wealth, and worldly power, yet its foundation remains weak. Truth may seem burdened by trials and opposed by many, but it draws its strength from Allah and therefore endures.

When the light of truth shines upon falsehood, the veil of deception is torn away. Falsehood survives only in the absence of knowledge and justice; once confronted by truth, it loses its power and fades like darkness before the rising sun.

Therefore, do not measure truth by the number of its followers, nor falsehood by the noise it creates. Measure both by the Scale of Allah. For when truth strikes the head of falsehood, as Allah has promised, falsehood is shattered and vanishes, while truth remains firm and everlasting.

The believer's duty is to stand with truth, even when standing alone, trusting that what is founded upon Allah's guidance will endure, and what is founded upon falsehood is destined to perish.

Haq Ka Zuhoor

The Triumph of Truth

جب حق کی کرن دل کے افق پر اُترتی ہے
Jab haq kī kiran dil ke ufuq par utartī hai
When the ray of truth descends upon the horizon of the heart,

باطل کی ہر اک شب خود بخود بکھرتی ہے
Bāṭil kī har ik shab khud ba khud bikharṭī hai
Every night of falsehood scatters away on its own.

باطل کا شر جب سامنے ابھر کے اتا ہے


سرِ باطل کو جب ضربِ یقیں سے مارا جاتا ہے

حق کی صدا گونجے تو زمانہ بدل جاتا ہے
Haq kī sadā gūnjay to zamānah badal jātā hai
When the call of truth echoes, the age itself changes,

جھوٹ کا ایوان خود اپنی بنیاد کھو جاتا ہے
Jhūṭ kā aiwān khud apnī bunyād kho jātā hai
The palace of lies loses its own foundation.

جلال حق ندا اہلِ وفا دیتے ہیں


نورِ ہدایت  اندھیروں کو مٹا دیتے ہیں

اللہ کے بندے جب حق کے علم بردار ہو گئے


باطل کے قلعے ریت کے دیوار ہو گئے


---

وہموہم کے بت جب پیش و بدگمان ہوں 


دل میں جب آیاتِ حق کا حسن بیان ہو


---

باطل کی حقیقت تو ہے سرابوں کی فضا


ایک لمحے میں اندھیرا چھٹے باقی رہے ضیا

 سنتِ محمد حق ہے یہی ایمان کی ہے بقا


جو حق کے ساتھ سیدھا چلا وہ ہے راہ مصطفی

کہہ دو کہ آیا حق ہوا اور باطل مٹ گیا
Keh do ke āyā haq huwa, aur bāṭil miṭ gayā
Say: Truth has come, and falsehood has vanished,

نورِ ازل طلوع ہوا، اندھیرا چھٹ گیا
Nūr-e-azal ṭulū‘ huā, andherā chhaṭ gayā
The Eternal Light has risen, and darkness has departed.
