Uncle Conversation with Six year niece Sakina
Well Baba Zain, I want to share a tale listen, it is so grand
Of brave young Sakina, so gentle in Karbala land.
I am little Yahaya, with heart full of light,
This is my tribute to her noble fight.
Ammu Abbas, whom you hold so dear,
Was asked by Sakina with love so clear,
“Do you love me?” she asked with grace,
“Of course, O Sakina,” with a smile on his face.
O Ammu will you guide my prayer?
Yes, O Sakina, I will always be there.
Ammu Abbas, when I read the Qur’an,
Will you help me recite every verse that I correctly can?
Yes, of course, my Sakina you are so bright,
I will help you with love, by day and by night.
But Sakina saw sorrow, the pain, the dread,
She witnessed the crimes of Umar ibn Sa’ad.
She knew that her brother, so tender and small,
Ali Asghar was struck by that tyrant’s cruel arrow shot.
She said, Ammu Abbas, let patience remain,
This is our trial, our share of pain.
Yes, dear Sakina, stay strong and true,
For Allah is watching what we go through.
Ammu Abbas, when thirst makes me weak,
I will not ask for water, my lips will speak.
We will die with honor, do not go in dismay,
I will fetch you water without a least delay.
To the Euphrates brave Abbas went,
On a mission of mercy, with purpose unbent.
But enemies waited with arrows and hate,
Ambushing him near the river Euphrates gate.
The water bag torn, hope dripping away,
His body struck down in martyr's way.
Oh Baba Hussain, what has to Ammu Abbas, your valiant one?
“Allah is pleased,” said Hussain through the pain,
With Abbas who showed what true faith can gain.
He stood for patience, for loyalty, for right,
He shines in Karbala’s as an eternal light.
Among all the heroes that day of loss,
The beauty of Karbala shines through Ammu Abbas.

Till Muhammad (peace be upon them) brought it true.
Within this sacred, radiant frame,
Were souls of honor, lit by flame:
Abu Talib’s shield, and Hamza’s might,
Ali, the lion, the guiding light.
Khadija’s strength, so pure and wise,
Fatima’s tears, like rain from skies.
Hassan, the peace, and Baqir's lore,
Jafar’s wisdom, and truths he bore.
Musa, Reza, Taqi’s grace,
Hadi, Askari, stars in place.
Land of Karbala an anvil of faith
Everyone is tested in the world of faith
The veil was lifted from their eyes,
No more deception, no disguise.
Truth and falsehood, plain and bright,
Revealed like day dispels the night.
Seventy-two shone with divine art,
Each a mirror of God’s own heart.
Even a soldier led astray
Found truth with Hussain that sacred day.
Once Yazid’s general, now set free,
He chose the path of love eternally.
Hussain called all with heart and might:
Join me in this sacred fight.
This world is fleeting, wise are those
Who seek the life with eternal shows.
He stood beneath the burning sun,
Saying, “I am Muhammad’s grandson.
I rise not for power, wealth, or might,
But only to uphold what’s just and right.
But the portrait waits its final hue,
One soul still veiled from every view.
To crown the light, complete the thread,
We await the Mehdi, as truth is spread.
