Al-Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi Vengeance

Salaam Brothers and Sisters 
I hope you are both doing well.

I often reflect on the wisdom of our momineen and the direction in which our centers and organizers are moving—what exactly they aim to achieve. Please pardon me if I differ a little, but at times these events feel more like recreational gatherings. That is why I took some time to share a few insights with our brothers regarding the celebration of Eid Zahra.

Al-Mukhtar al-Thaqafi rose with resolve, carrying a banner of vengeance. In his effort, he touched a fragment of the longing of Zahra (peace be upon her),  however Allah wanted that the arrogance of the oppressors not go unanswered at this high rise emotions in the Kufa Al-Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi gave this a direction to kill the enemies so he could establish a government of justice. Yet know this: the fulfillment of a dream in part is not the perfection of divine justice. Likewise the Abbasids later unfurled their black flags, proclaiming themselves the defenders of Ahlul Bayt, but their purpose soon unveiled itself, power, not piety; rule, not remembrance.

Was Karbala a triumph or a tragedy, or was it the path already marked by the Messenger of Allah, foretold by Imam Sajjad and proclaimed by Lady Zainab (peace be upon them both)? Do you name it victory when fallible men carry the sword in defense of an infallible truth? Do you imagine that the Household of the Prophet was too weak to shield itself, and in need of others to finish what Allah Himself had decreed? Nay, such a thought is false.

The event of Karbala was not vengeance, it was testimony. A covenant between Allah and His prophets, a line drawn between the Lord of Light and the arrogance of Iblis. There is no revenge in this, only the trial of souls and the reckoning that awaits on the Day of Judgment. Until the veil is lifted, and the radiant face of Truth is revealed through the advent of the Awaited Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him), the world will remain unsettled, and the enemies of faith will be grieved. So there is no worldly victory for Allah's chosen people only test and trial until the coming of Jesus and Mehdi peace be upon them. 

Did not Allah already declare in His Book? “They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, though the disbelievers dislike it” (Surah At-Tawbah 9:32). Their schemes to silence truth and strengthen falsehood are futile, for Allah’s guidance shall be made complete, and His religion shall prevail.

O followers of Ali, do not let your hearts be ruled by passion alone. Weigh matters with the scales of wisdom. Distinguish between truth and its imitation, between justice and ambition, between sincerity and exploitation. Rejoice only when the honor of the Prophet’s Household is preserved, and when Allah’s light is unveiled. For that alone is true victory, and that alone is worthy of celebration.
